Proton recalls back Gen 2 and Neo due to Clock Spring Malfunction

Proton has recently filed an issue on a voluntary recall on 16,000 of Gen 2 and Satria Neo manufactured between 2004 and 2008 due to a spring clock malfunction. Let's see what the Managing Director Datuks Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir had to say.

Quote

"Although the number is small, the safety of our customers is paramount and we apologise for any inconvenience caused,"

A site, namely Proton After Sales for it's title here has been setup purposely for car owners to check whether their cars are affected and as well as get more details on the issue. They are also sending letters notification to all the owners on this matter.

If you are unsure what is a Clock Spring is, do pay a visit to the website. It tells you what it is and what does it do.

It seems that they are trying to prove that they care for the customer. Or maybe there are a lot of complains, that's why they called it all back.
